PUTRAJAYA: The rehiring programme for foreign workers without permits (PATI) will make it easier for the government to identify the number of illegals in the country, said outgoing Immigration Director-General Datuk Seri Mustafa Ibrahim.

Mustafa said the Immigration Department would do its utmost to support the programme, which was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when he presented the revision of Budget 2016.
