PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism hopes that unilateral conversion of minors by one parent will be resolved soon.
It said the Cabinet’s April 2009 decision that “a child must follow the religion practised by the parents at the time of marriage in the event one of them opts to convert” should be put into effect.
