Cops say Saturday's anti-TPPA rally illegal, but will manage safety of protestors


KUALA LUMPUR: Police say the planned anti-Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) rally in Dataran Merdeka on Saturday is considered illegal, but affirms they will assist to manage safety of protesters.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm ACP Zainol Samah said that he had received a notice from the organisers of the planned rally on Jan 12, but said approval could not be given as the application was incomplete.
