KLANG: MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the Cabinet wanted the child custody case involving M. Indira Gandhi resolved, given that Malaysia is a multiracial country with Muslims and non-Muslims living together.
Dr Subramaniam said besides asking three ministers to speak to the Attorney-General in finding a solution to the matter, Najib “has also principally agreed to look at amendments to existing laws to prevent unilateral conversion of children”.
