11 poachers in hot water Indonesian fishermen caught in enforcers’ net


Dual haul: The two Indonesian vessels with 11 crew members and 200kg of fishes on board being towed to the Batu Maung jetty in Penang for encroaching into Malaysian waters.

GEORGE TOWN: Eleven Indonesians in two boats were caught fishing illegally in Malaysian waters.

A Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) patrol team spotted the two vessels 32 nautical miles south-west of Pulau Kendi at about 1pm on Thursday and brought them back to the Batu Maung jetty.
