KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan will unveil and sign their common policy document on Saturday, with the intention of making the coalition more cohesive.
Pakatan Harapan president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said that the document will be unveiled at their inaugural leaders’ summit in Shah Alam.
"We believe this agreement is a big step that shows the maturity of the three parties, " she said during a press conference after a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) headquarters on Tuesday.
Also present were DAP national adviser Lim Kit Siang, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and other leaders.
She said the agreement would contain seven main clauses that sets out mechanisms to among others resolve issues, decision making and seat allocation.
The coalition is made up of DAP, PKR and Amanah.
She added that discussion and negotiations to finalize the agreement started in October last year.
When quizzed whether the agreement would touch on a relationship with PAS, Azizah appeared defensive and only said that it had nothing to do with PAS.
Other question on PAS were also sidestepped by the other leaders present who said the meeting only discussed the three parties.
