PETALING JAYA: Penang Gerakan has called on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the “unbelievable” costs relating to the undersea tunnel and paired roads project, which are part of the Penang Transportation Master Plan (PTMP).
Penang Gerakan state liaison committee member H’ng Khoon Leng (pic) urged the MACC to probe the RM305mil spent on a feasibility study of the project as well as to investigate the project’s “ballooning of cost” from RM4bil to RM6.3bil within a year, even though the state government claimed that it was a typo error.
