GEORGE TOWN: All decked up in their Baba and Nyonya kebaya garb, fifth generation Baba Jerry Kong, 41, and his family ushered in the Winter Solstice Festival with the symbolic multi-coloured tang yuan (glutinous rice ball).
More than just a simple dessert, tang yuan often symbolises a family get-together which they have never failed to hold annually in order to pass on the tradition.
