A-G's Chambers raises objections to judicial challenge of TPPA

KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney-General's Chambers is objecting to the judicial review proceedings filed by the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (Abim) and two other NGOs to stop the government from signing the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA).

Senior Federal Counsel Shamsul Bolhassan (pic) said that the AGC would raise the objection on grounds that the matter is "non-justiciable", or not proper for judicial consideration.
