KUALA LUMPUR: Claims that wreckage of the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 plane has been found in the Philippines has not been verified, says Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
The Transport Minister revealed that he had received the report and passed it to the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) to investigate.
Speaking to reporters after MCA's 62nd annual general meeting, he urged the public to not spread the news until it is verified.
"I will announce the latest update to everyone when I receive it," he promised.
When asked if DCA will send an investigation team to the Philippines, Liow replied that the decision rests with them.
