KUALA LUMPUR: Although it will be compulsory for households to separate their waste when a new ruling comes into effect in about two weeks, the Government promises to take a soft approach in the initial stages to ease the people into the move.
“We will be firm, yet take a friendly approach when the ruling starts on Sept 1,” Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohammad Mentek said at its Hari Raya open house here yesterday.
