PETALING JAYA: Malaysians think they know a lot about dengue, with only 11% feeling they are at high risk of catching the disease, an online survey reveals.
They also feel only the very young, elderly and the weak are at risk of being adversely affected by the disease, although 38% agree dengue can be life-threatening. On the bright side, Malaysians all know how dengue is contracted – via a bite from the Aedes mosquito, with 76% believing they are at risk of catching dengue in the rainy season.
