KUALA LUMPUR: By 2019, all National Service (NS) trainees will not be compelled to undergo the three-month training stint but on a voluntary basis.
Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Bakri (pic) said that the proposed move towards making NS voluntary would be done gradually beginning in 2017.
