KUALA LUMPUR: An application has been filed to strike out former Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's qazaf (making false allegations) appeals by Minister in the Prime Minister's department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom and two others.
Lead counsel Roslizam Rahim said they made the application on grounds that Anwar's application became academic after he was convicted under Section 377B of the Penal Code by and was jailed five years by the Federal Court on Feb 10.
