DAP’s recent decision to cut ties with PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang – calling him dishonest and treacherous but maintaining ties with PAS as a party – shows that it can’t do without a major Malay party as a partner.
By this ambiguous policy, it is telling all that it needs PAS more than ever but a PAS, minus clerics like Abdul Hadi and their cherished hudud policy. The hudud policy was passed in the Kelantan state assembly and the PAS president is ready to table it in Parliament.
