No long break for building industry

Hard at work: Construction workers busy at their jobs at a site in Shah Alam.

PETALING JAYA: While the people enjoy the festive break, it will be business as usual as far as construction workers are concerned. Masterbuilders Association Malaysia (MBAM) president Matthew Tee said except for today and tomorrow, construction would proceed as usual at project sites.

“There shouldn’t be any delay in development work or meeting the targeted date of completion. These breaks have been taken into account by the construction sector,’’ he added.
