PUTRAJAYA: The National Registration Department (NRD) will issue assumption of death certificates after receiving a court order submitted by the next of kin of passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.
“The application for the court order must be made based on the standard operating procedure specified,” the NRD said in a statement Friday.
Yesterday, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) officially declared that flight MH370 had crashed and all 239 passengers and crew on board were considered as having lost their lives.
The Boeing 777-200ER disappeared from radar screens one hour after taking off from the KL International Airport (KLIA) en route to Beijing at 12.41am on March 8, 2014.
The MAS flight was scheduled to arrive in the Chinese capital at 6.30am on the same day. – Bernama
