KUALA LUMPUR: Contractor groups from the construction industry are appealing to the Government to "release" workers registered under the 6P programme from their amnesty status and allow them to continue working here.
The workers who were granted amnesty under the nationwide 6P, a “whitening” exercise that started in October 2011, are to be sent back to their countries in less than a month - by Jan next year.
