Wife desperate for RM3mil ransom money as Abu Sayyaf’s beheading deadline looms


KOTA KINABALU: As the patience of Abu Sayyaf militants runs thin with no sign that their RM3mil ransom demand will be met and a threat to behead fish breeder Chan Sai Chuin this month, his wife is getting desperate to secure his release.

“They (Abu Sayyaf) told me that they will send back Chan’s head if I fail to pay the ransom,” Chin Pek Nyen told a media conference here as she appealed to the state and federal governments to do more in assisting to free her husband.
