Vendors and distributors laud move not to impose GST on newspaper

NEWSPAPER vendors’ associations and local distributors have welcomed the government’s move to include the newspaper as part of the items exempted from the Goods and Services Tax (GST), in the 2015 Budget.

Federal Territory and Selangor Indian Newspaper Vendors Association president Datuk N. Muneandy said it was good news for the vendors all over the country and the decision has come as a relief to all of its members.
