GEORGE TOWN: Sungai Junjung has not burst its banks but its rising waters hit the danger level after several hours of rain.
According to the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) website, the water level of the river hit 3.48m at 9am yesterday in Simpang Empat but dropped to the alert level of 2.99m at 2pm.
