KUALA LUMPUR: The police have advised the public to stay away from a planned rally at Dataran Merdeka today to protest against the petrol price hike, as the organisers had not applied for a permit to hold the gathering.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa (pic) said police regarded the rally as illegal since the organisers had not sought permission to hold the assembly as required under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
