Uthayakumar should have been acquitted, says Waythamoorthy


"He raised a legitimate issue in 2007 on the ruthless demolition of Hindu temples and he personally perceived that as "ethnic cleansing." I stress here the alleged offending words were clearly in inverted commas," said the former Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s department.

Waythamoorthy said the Court of Appeal judges had failed to see the basis behind Uthayakumar's allegation.
