Gathering for academic freedom at campus

PETALING JAYA: Universiti Malaya students and lecturers gathered at the former speaker’s corner to denounce the sedition charges against law lecturer Assoc Prof Dr Azmi Sharom.

The protest started at around 12.30pm yesterday, with students, and academics marching from the Law Faculty with banners calling for academic freedom and the abolition of the Sedition Act.
