KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s lawyer has shed light on the Bank Islam case settlement, saying that resolving the matter out of court had always been part of the plan since 2007.
Mathew Thomas, the lawyer of the embattled Selangor Menteri Besar, said in a statement that the issue had to be clarified following Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad’s press conference on Aug 21, where he divulged “private and confidential” information from his meeting with the PAS Central Committee member on the settlement.
