Kamilah Malaysia radio campaign returns

PETALING JAYA: The Star Radio Group’s Kamilah Malaysia (We are Malaysia) campaign is back, this time to promote togetherness in a series of talk shows featuring iconic figures speaking up for moderate Malaysians.

The talk shows, organised in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, will be aired on Capital FM.

The Star Radio Group chief operating officer Kudsia Kahar (pic) said she was proud of the success of its first Kamilah Malaysia campaign which kicked off last year, adding that the focus would now be on the voices of moderation.

“We fully utilised multiple platforms including online, ground and on air.

“We will now put forward the voices of Malaysia to show togetherness and share the views of iconic moderate Malaysians,” she said yesterday.

It will feature prominent figures and celebrities, including The Star columnists Azmi Sharom and Datuk Zaid Ibrahim and The Star online editor Philip Golingai, among others, and will be aired on Capital FM from Sept 1 to Sept 4, from 7am onwards.

Kudsia also said the “Kamilah Malaysia” campaign would be taken nationwide, adding: “There will be six vehicles involved and three stations – Red FM, 988, SuriaFM.

The Star recently launched a campaign to remind readers that the newspaper has always been, and will always be, open to Brave Views and Bold Ideas – but tempered by voices of moderation.
