Fishermen display giant N-Day banner


Patriotic souls: The fishermen going out to sea in fishing boats decorated with the Jalur Gemilang in celebration of the country's 57th Merdeka Day.

BALIK PULAU: Fifty fishermen from Pulau Betong and Kuala Sungai Betong, in 21 boats decorated with the Jalur Gemilang, went out to sea to unfold a 9.14m-long banner carrying the National Day theme to express their love for the country.

The convoy, led by a boat carrying Pulau Betong assemblyman Muhamad Farid Saad, left from the Kuala Pulau Betong jetty at about 10.10am yesterday.
