A heartfelt tribute at car wash

Doing their part: The workers looking at the model airplane amid the Jalur Gemilang and state flags at the 2A car wash centre at Taman Pasir Putih, Pasir Gudang.

PASIR GUDANG: Four years ago, workers at a car wash near here gathered scrap metal to build a model plane as a tribute to first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra who flew to London to discuss the independence of then Malaya with the British government.

The plane was painted with the colours of the Jalur Gemilang by the workers of the 2A Bersatu car wash centre, but it has now been re-painted all white in memory of the missing crew and passengers of MH370 and those who perished in the MH17 tragedy.
