Exco members have lost credibility, says Teng

SHAH ALAM: Three days after being sacked from the Selangor state executive council, DAP’s Datuk Teng Chang Khim turned on his four former colleagues from PAS by criticising them for their lack of commitment towards Pakatan Rakyat.

He claimed they had lost their credibility by choosing to remain in the state government.

PAS’ Iskandar Samad, Dr Halimah Ali, Sallehen Mukhyi and Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi chose to remain in the state government as directed by their party leadership after Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim was sacked by his party PKR on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Khalid also fired DAP exco members Teng, Ean Yong Hian Wah and V. Ganabatirau as well as PKR exco members Elizabeth Wong and Dr Daroyah Alwi.

Rodziah Ismail, also from PKR, was overseas during the sacking but returned and tendered her resignation as exco member on Thursday.

Teng also alleged yesterday that Khalid and the four PAS exco members had discussed the possible dissolution of the state assembly, an assertion denied by Dr Halimah.

When told Dr Halimah had denied the allegation, Teng labelled her “untrustworthy and hypocritical”.
