Man jailed seven days, fined RM5,000 for scribbling obscenity on traffic summons


GEORGE TOWN: A tombstone engraver, who scribbled an obscene word on a police traffic summons issued to him, has been sentenced to a week's jail and fined RM5,000 in default seven months' jail by a Magistrate's Court here.

Lim Pei Jye, 41, admitted to writing down the obscene word 'p*****k' on the summons when it was handed to him to sign, with the intention to shame one S. Thanesran, in front of a cafe in Jalan Batu Ferringhi, about 9.50am on July 2.
