Selangor MB crisis: Khalid to meet Council of the Royal Court on Monday

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Mentri Besar will decide on the next step after a meeting with the Council of the Royal Court on Monday.

Until then, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim (pic), who was sacked from PKR on Saturday, pledged to perform his duties as an independent MB.

Asked if he was going to appeal his sacking from the party, Khalid said his priority was to focus on his position in the Selangor government's administration.

In a press statement Sunday, Khalid reiterated that his sacking from PKR was unfair and against the party's constitution.

"I am also advised by my lawyers not to issue any statements that could go against a possible lawsuit in the future," he said.

Khalid was expelled from PKR after the party cited that he had failed to meet the party's disciplinary committee on Saturday to explain several allegations directed at him.

Prior to this, Khalid replied to the party asking for the meeting to be postponed.

PKR did not reply to his request and instead decided to sack him for not showing up at the meeting.
