KAMPAR: While he was forced to languish in prison for a month, the late Karpal Singh's driver C. Selvam was consumed with sadness that no one in the country came forward to help him.

As if his prayers in the dark were answered, the Indian national said he was happy to find out that he was released Tuesday after a bail was posted for him at the Kampar Magistrate's Court two days ago and that he was oblivious to it prior to arriving at the court.
