PETALING JAYA: MCA deputy secretary-general Datuk Wee Jeck Seng has called for action to be taken against PAS religious teacher Shahul Hamid for his insulting remarks on Hinduism.
“The remarks of Shahul Hamid are insensitive and insult the Hindu religion. The call for Muslims to boycott ‘Hindu’ products is uncalled for. His words are in violation of the Constitution. Police and the authorities should be more vigorous in monitoring religious sermons as they can be easily misused to create animosity against other faiths and cultures,” he said in a statement.
