hopes for a positive meeting with Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko over the investigations into the downing of Malaysia Airlines MH17.
Asked by reporters on his role in Kiev, Anifah said he was hoping for a positive outcome.
"I will let you know after we have the meeting," he told reporters at KLIA before leaving for the Ukrainian capital Kiev early Monday.
The Wisma Putra team is expected to hold discussions with Poroshenko, Vice-President and Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin over the ongoing investigations into the MH17 disaster and the standoff with pro-Russian separatists on the access to the crash site in Donetsk.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai had earlier arrived in Kiev to ensure the Malaysian team has access to the crash site.
