PETALING JAYA: “Red FM Turns True Blue”, the radio station’s advertising campaign proved to be a hit when it won a silver award at the Malaysian Media Awards 2014 under the Best Use of Radio category.
Together with Samsung, Red FM launched the four-week blitz, challenging Malaysian-based Chelsea fans to a True Blue quiz.
One of the deejays, JJ, who is a Manchester United supporter, promised to wear blue if the fans got answered correctly. Another highlight was the social media conversations on Red FM turning blue for the campaign.
During the campaign period, 237,000 were tuned in and 20,467 social media posts were created in four weeks.
