Syrian fined for using fake passport to travel to Zamboanga

SANDAKAN: A Syrian man, who used a forged Malta passport to leave Sandakan on a ferry to Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, has been fined RM8,000 in default eight months’ jail by the Sessions Court here.

Khaled Abdul Rahman Mohamad, 32, pleaded guilty yesterday to the offence under Section 12(1) (a) of the Passport Act 1966 before judge Egusra Ali.
