Railwaymen protest closure of east coast line


PETALING JAYA: The Railwaymen’s Union of Malaya (RUM) has threatened to picket in front of the Land Public Transport Commission’s (SPAD) headquarters this Thursday over the closure of the 321km Gemas-Gua Musang train line.

RUM president Abdul Razak Md Hassan said that closing the stretch would affect hundreds of thousands of Malaysians relying on the east coast railway for travel.
