PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian government has expressed its disappointment at being relegated from the second tier two to the third tier watch list in the US State Department’s Trafficking in Persons Report 2014, reaffirming its commitment to combating the issue.
In a statement on Sunday, the Foreign Ministry said that contrary to the report’s findings, the government continued to take significant measures to improve the existing laws on human trafficking.
