PETALING JAYA: A total of RM2.48bil was allocated for 314 rural water supply projects in Sarawak but only 115 (36.6%) of the projects have been completed at a cost of RM1.43 bil, according to the second series of the 2013 Auditor General’s Report.
The projects under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development is carried out by the state’s public works department to provide treated water to rural communities.
