NUSAJAYA: Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios (PIMS) has projected RM1.8bil in direct local spending and will create 1,700 freelance jobs for locals within the next eight years by placing Malaysia as a filming and television hub in the region.
Director Datuk Mohd Badlisham Ghazali said with the studios now officially opened, it would help attract regional and international filmmakers to the country.
