PUTRAJAYA: Stakeholders in the transport industry have called on the authorities to allow heavier tints on vehicles by reducing the minimum visible light transmission (VLT) level for a vehicle’s rear windshield and passenger windows to 30% from the existing 50%.
This proposal was raised during a two-day workshop organised by the Transport Ministry to revisit regulations for tinted vehicles, which was attended by more than 100 representatives from various enforcement agencies, consumer groups, private entities as well as non-governmental organisations.
