PETALING JAYA: The bride who was detained midway during her Hindu wedding ceremony is being investigated for insulting Islam, said the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais).
A Malay daily quoted its deputy director Ahmad Zaki Arshad as saying that they were investigating the case under Section 10 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Selangor) Enactment 1995 for insulting or bringing disrepute to Islam.
