PUTRAJAYA: A total of 1,748 entrepreneurs have joined the My Best Buy programme, an effort to offer reasonably-priced retail products to consumers.
The programme, a brainchild of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, was aimed at reducing the burden on consumers due to the hike in the cost of living.
The My Best Buy initiative aims to offer fresh produce and other quality retail goods at between 5% to 20% lower than the market price.
“I have been made to understand that the programme has been organised in more than 10 locations nationwide, with the Public Service Department (PSD) Complex (in Putrajaya) being the first to host this programme.
“The programme has also received encouraging response from the public when it was held at other locations,” PSD director-general Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal said.
Mohamad Zabidi launched the My Best Buy programme at the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry, here, yesterday.
