Sisters charged with attempted murder claim trial to causing grievous hurt

BUKIT MERTAJAM: The two elderly sisters charged with attempting to murder the older woman’s daughter-in-law has been slapped with another additional charge of causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon in the Sessions Court here on Monday.

Lee Wei Mei, 65, and Wei Chee, 62, claimed trial to voluntarily causing grievous hurt using a dangerous weapon to primary schoolteacher Julie Yeoh Kar Tin, 44, at her flat in Block S, Taman Tun Hussein, Sebe­rang Jaya, at around 4pm on May 8, 2012.
