KOTA KINABALU: A gutsy 23-year-old woman managed to escape carjackers after she was taken on an eight-kilometre terror ride by jumping out of her car.
The woman, a clerical worker, was heading to work when she was carjacked Wednesday morning, sustained minor bodily injuries after rolling on the road
The two men managed to escape with her car.
According to Kota Kinabalu city police chief Assist Comm Jauteh Dikun, the woman said the men had similar facial features and were possibly related to each other.
Jauteh said police were now hunting for both men and her purple Perodua Myvi.
This is the second of such incident in two days, with the first one involving an eight-year-old pupil who was driven away in his mother’s car when she left it unlocked while she went down to buy buns at early Monday morning.
The car was later abandoned with the boy still in it, about six kilometres from where it was taken stolen.
Jauteh said police were still investigating both incidents.
