KANGAR: Perlis Puteri Umno chief Zuraidah Zainal Abidin (pic) and a 57-year-old businessman have claimed trial in the Syariah High Court here to committing khalwat (close proximity).
Zuraidah, 34, who is also the Arau Puteri Umno division chief, and Burhanuddin Ismail are alleged to have committed the offence in a room at a hotel at Persiaran Jubli Emas here at about 1.30am on March 3.
