PETALING JAYA: Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has withdrawn himself as a candidate for the Kajang by-election as Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is no longer able to contest following Friday's Court of Appeal decision.
In a press release issued on Sunday, Zaid said that with Anwar no longer able to qualify as a candidate, the position of current Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is now secure, and the Selangor government will be stable for the forseeable future.
