KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recommended that the two men allegedly behind the cash bounty to slap Seputeh MP Teresa Kok be charged with criminal intimidation.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said, however, the investigation papers that were submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers had been returned.
“The papers were sent back by the A-G because there are a few details that need to be ironed out,” he told a press conference at the city police headquarters yesterday.
He said the police had finalised the investigation, re-submitted the papers and were waiting for further instructions.
Two men had allegedly issued the RM1,200 bounty to anyone who could slap Kok after she released her controversial Chinese New Year video Onederful Malaysia.
The video clip, starring Kok as a feng shui host interviewing three panellists, was uploaded on Jan 27 and shared on Facebook.
The clip poked fun at various issues, including the education system in the country and the terrorist intrusion in Sabah last year.
