KUCHING: The Election Commission has been notified of Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud's resignation as Balingian assemblyman, State Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar said on Thursday.
"I have informed the EC chairman in a letter dated today with regard to the resignation for the EC to take up the necessary action," he told a press conference here.
