KUALA LUMPUR: An insurance agent was sentenced to 11 years jail and six strokes of the cane by the Sessions Court on Thursday for cheating a housewife into buying insurance policies amounting to RM800,000.
Tee Wei Chiang, 29, was found guilty of cheating Wong Kok Fong, 59, by inducing her into believing that he could help her obtain an insurance policy from Great Eastern.
